Do you see children at your dental practice?
Absolutely! Caring for kids is a big part of our dental practice, and it’s very important to Dr. Tadros that he helps them have positive, enjoyable experiences at the dentist’s office from a young age – far too many cases of lifelong dental fear begin early, after all. Our waiting room features plenty of fun touches for little patients, including video games, and we also partner with a pediatric specialist when needed to ensure that your loved one’s care is the right fit for their unique needs.
How often should I be going to the dentist’s office?
Dr. Tadros’ usual recommendation is two professional dental checkups and two dedicated teeth cleanings every calendar year – one each six months on average. This gives our dental team the valuable chance to check out the patient’s smile at regular intervals and pinpoint any strange changes or signs of damage that may have developed in the interim. We can also clear away decay-causing plaque and tartar from every last crevice, leaving the teeth healthier and safer.
If the patient is experiencing moderate gum disease or is especially sensitive to tooth decay, undergoing these visits every 3-4 months may be encouraged instead so that we can provide more diligent, supportive care. We’ll be sure to let you know if this is the case!
Do you treat dental emergencies?
Yes! We do our very best to make time in our schedule to accommodate serious dental injuries, extreme oral pain, and other frightening situations right away for new and current patients alike. Don’t wait – contact us today to schedule an emergency dental appointment.
Should I be worried about radiation from X-rays in the dental office?
Not at all. At Del Rey Dental, we only capture X-rays on a necessary basis and use all of the proper safety equipment to ensure a smooth and comfortable diagnostic experience. Better yet, Dr. Tadros has invested in state-of-the-art digital radiography, which minimizes radiation exposure by up to 80% when compared with traditional film! It’s a very safe process for children and adults alike.
Do you offer any dental appointment times outside of normal business hours?
Absolutely! Mondays through Fridays, we’re open until 7:00pm at night in order to accommodate professional adults and families who don’t want to pull their kids out of school unnecessarily. Better yet, we have Saturday hours available too if you don’t have the free time during the week.
Do you take dental insurance?
Yes – we are very dental insurance-friendly! Our dental practice is in-network with most PPO dental insurance providers. To learn more, please visit our new patients page or contact us directly.
